An heirloom converted into a work of art: the old copper lamp has been given a pedestal: an iron stable lamp. This is a more modern heirloom from my parents, probably from the 1970s. Instead of light bulbs, the cast iron arms now hold all kinds of beautiful 'trinkets' that can be changed from time to time. Now a memorial column for three generations of Nooren and three styles: the chic art deco of my grandparents, the modern pragmatism of my parents and my own free artistic expression
