What I do: I give stones, wood and other material in space a clearer voice. Or: I make durable embodiments of the flow of life.

My sculptures are partly recognisable abstractions - challenging the creativity of the onlooker: what is your interpretation?

Every sculpture I make is unique and special.

I prefer limestone or marble, treetrunks and rough structures, but choose sometimes other available materials and a smooth finish to improve the expression.

Expression is the main goal. Starting-point is a shape or a subject that is present in nature. A subject or issue can come up or change while playing with the material or can be maintained from the start (f.i. as an assignement). My motivation is enhancing the beauty or the harmony while working: in the rhythm of the shapes, in the connections and the gaps within the sculpure and the surrounding space.

On a suitable place in nature, in garden, livingroom, study or office such a sculpture can serve to focus, as something to touch, as totem or memorial.
